Dr. Lewis has been in practice in Greensboro since 1979, after finishing training at Logan
College of Chiropractic in St. Louis.  He trained in the Logan College clinics and at
hospitals in St. Louis. Dr. Lewis has a master's degree in public health from the University
of North Carolina at Greensboro and his bachelor's degree is in medical x-ray technology /
radiation health physics.  He has been president of the North Carolina Chiropractic
Association, was a member of the North Carolina State Board of Chiropractic Examiners
and is past chairman of the Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters,
the agency which evaluates research literature to help guide chiropractors in practice in
the United States.  He is a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors. Dr. Lewis
has taught continuing education for several chiropractic colleges for over 20 years. He is
currently in his fourth term as a Commissioner on the North Carolina State Radiation
Protection Commission, the state agency that regulates all medical and other usage of
radiation-producing devices and materials.  He has also served as an advisor to the North
Carolina State Health Planning Commission.
